In a way, blogs can be a jumping off point for any business online, whether it is affiliate marketing, article submissions, or other paid tasks. With a blog of your own, you already have an identity in the online world which makes it easier for you to venture into other, more well-paying jobs.

Affiliate marketing involves selling products produced by others. Blogs can be set up for free and you can also get into that particular blog host’s internet marketing system. You get to receive advertisements to place in your blog and once you generate enough traffic to that link, or maybe some of those turn into sales, you earn.

Once you set up a blog, you wait for a search engine to find you and index your site. This means that your site is already known by search engine “spiders” that crawl all over the web in order to cater to all internet users main need – searching for information. Look at it this way, if you are looking for a particular shoe at a specific price, how do you look for it on the Internet? You type in the words describing what you want inside a search engine box and hit “enter.”

Traffic will be generated when the keywords on your blog match the keywords that the internet user types into the search bar. Of course this is a bit of a simplification because you are not playing this game alone and there are other rules that you must follow because there is competition for these internet users. Once you have a potential money making blog, you have to take the steps necessary to provide traffic for your blog so that you can sell the products that you are promoting there.

Afterwards, you will learn that you need to make more blogs in order to gain more profits. Yes, this is only the beginning and now you are involved in internet marketing. The more blogs you have in various niches with their corresponding products and related content, the more chances you have to generate revenue by having people visit your blog to read your content and buy your products.

This is a very simplified story of what happens when you become involved in Internet Marketing. There is a lot to learn to become successful, but you can learn it by taking it a step at a time. As we have mentioned in the previous blog post, it is not easy.
